Paul instructed Timothy, "1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine" (II Timothy 4:1-2). Paul also instructs to Timothy the importance of having a working knowledge of the Word. "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (II Timothy 2:15). Paul's instruction to Timothy concerning the necessity to study the things of God, is followed by the command to "Preach the word..." of God.
The following are recorded sermons preached at the Garfield Heights church of Christ, Indianapolis, Indiana. The Word of God is not something to be taken lightly. The faithful men who fill the pulpit from time to time are faithful students of the Word of God and offer these lessons as a duty to preach the Word in season and out of season. These are not preached at like or dislike of men, but are preached out of our duty to God to present His entire Word to a lost and dying world, that lost spiritual Israel may be restored to God before it is everlastingly too late. When available, the oulines accompany these sermons. Print out the outlines for following along with the speaker, or as a study guide.
